ABOUT THE BOOK

This is the true story of a boy raised in the Little Italy section of The Bronx. I am that boy. From early childhood, my schooling consisted of a patchwork of six different schools. I lived in four different apartments and one house as far away as Pennsylvania and in upstate New York. On my own most of the time, and without much parental supervision, I hardly went to school. Using my brain to devise as many ways as possible to avoid sitting in a classroom, I was left back three times.

At the early age of sixteen I was cutting poker games for my misguided Mafia tainted father. During this time, while still working with my father, I recognized I was on the path to nowhere. I spent ten years to earn a college degree. Later on, I established a successful business and became a responsible member of my community.
